Prices come from official data published by the Régie de l'énergie du Québec, which sets the legal minimum price floor for every gas station in the province. The app fetches this data directly from the Régie's servers.
Data is refreshed every time you open the app. In the background, the app also periodically checks for new updates from the Régie so it can alert you when prices change at your favourite stations.
Add a station to your favourites (⭐ icon in its detail sheet), then enable alerts for that station (🔔 icon). The app monitors prices in the background and sends you a local notification as soon as a change is detected, without ever sending your data to an external server.
Yes. Every gas station registered with the Régie de l'énergie du Québec appears on the map, regardless of region.
The app displays prices for regular, premium, and diesel fuel, depending on what each station reports. Use the filter bar to show only the fuel type you need.
Add a station to your favourites, then place the Ça Tank widget on your home screen. During setup, choose the station to show and tick the fuel grades you want (regular, super, diesel). The rest are hidden for a cleaner layout. On Android you can edit an already-placed widget (station and grades) with a long-press, without removing it; on iOS, use the system "Edit Widget" option.
On the map, open the search panel and type a city name. The app suggests matching Quebec cities (accents aren't required) and recenters the map on the city you pick with a single tap.
Long-press the Ça Tank icon on your home screen to reveal two shortcuts: Favourites and Nearby. Each opens the list directly on the matching tab, skipping the map.
Tap a station to open its detail sheet, then select the History tab. You'll see how prices have changed over time, with the ability to navigate through past periods.
